Every guide on this site is written and technically reviewed by a working IT specialist with hands-on experience in cybersecurity, system administration, and web development, see the About page for the actual background. Nothing gets published as advice on this site that hasn't been tested or verified by someone who understands the system it's describing.
How Content Gets Made
Drafting and research on this site are done collaboratively with AI tools, the same way plenty of technical writing gets produced now. What that does and doesn't mean in practice: AI helps with research organization, first drafts, formatting, and editing passes. It does not decide what's technically correct, does not get the final word on a security recommendation, and does not publish anything without human review. Every command shown, every configuration example, and every piece of security guidance is checked against real, hands-on experience before it ships, not generated and trusted blind.
Testing Standard for Technical Content
Where it's practical, commands and configurations are described in the environment they were actually tested in rather than presented as universal. If a firewall rule, an SSH setting, or a self-hosting step could behave differently across distributions or setups, that gets called out rather than glossed over. Commands that can cause real damage if run carelessly get an explicit warning, not just an assumption that the reader already knows to be careful.
Corrections
Technical content ages: commands change, defaults change, tools get deprecated. If something on this site is wrong, outdated, or unclear, it gets fixed, and a note is added to the article if the correction is substantial enough that a past reader should know about it. If you find a mistake, use the contact details on the About page to flag it. Being wrong isn't the failure here, leaving it wrong is.
